Google Duo Reaches 1 Billion Downloads on the Play Store
SAN FRANCISCO – Although the video call application now offers the same functionality as WhatsApp, Messenger, LINE, it turns out that the Google Duo application can become more popular.
The application made by Google itself has been around for 2 years now and has now been downloaded more than 1 billion times in PlayStore, Ubergizmo reported.
This application is experiencing rapid growth. Even though in July 2017, the number of downloads only reached 100 million. Furthermore, in May this year, the new Google Duo had 500 million downloads, which means that 500 million other downloads occurred in just the past six months.

Google launched the Duo on Google I / O 2016 along with the Allo messaging application. The duo debuted first on August 16, 2016, while Allo was launched on September 21.
Last week, Google promoted the Duo which is also available for Iphone users by releasing advertisements that show how families and relatives can chat with video calls from their phones supported by Android and IOS.
Not long ago, Google also updated the Duo application to make it compatible with Andorid and iPad.
