Closed Bolt, Apparently Customers Can Move Cards
JAKARTA – Smartfren provides a Bolt card exchange service with a Smartfren starter card for free. This was stated by Deputy CEO of Smartfren, Djoko Tata Ibrahim that exchange can be done in 28 Bolt Zone locations in Jabodetabek and Medan.
Frequency closure is done because because the three are unable to fulfill the obligation to pay the Usage Rights Fee (BHP) of the frequency spectrum to the state. Upon this decision, Kominfo also asked PT Internux and PT First Media to immediately process the return of existing customer rights. “We ask as soon as possible, we will coordinate to prepare outlets or so on to facilitate the return of user rights,” said Ismail, Director General of SDPPI at a press conference at the Communication and Information Office on Friday (12/28/2018).
“We have done this agreement as a form of our support for BOLT customers,” he said in an official statement in Jakarta on Tuesday (1/1/2019).
Furthermore, Djoko explained that customers would be verified by Bolt. If you have passed the verification phase, Smartfren customer service located in Bolt Zone, will exchange and activate the Smartfren starter card.
“For customers who pass verification to get Smartfren services, they can exchange their Bolt cards directly with the free Smartfren Now Plus starter card,” Djoko explained.
With the Smartfren Now Plus starter card, customers will get a 6GB quota profit, consisting of 2.5GB main quota and 3.5GB night quota.
Until now, according to Djoko Smartfren has been present in more than 200 cities in Indonesia. That way, Bolt users can access the internet with a wider range.
“Of course, besides being able to continue internet services, Bolt customers can also enjoy the internet in a wider area,” he added.
As reported earlier, on Friday last week the government in this case the Ministry of Communication and Information has officially revoked the services of the three operators, one of which was PT Internux (Bolt). Their services were revoked because they did not pay the User Rights Fee (BHP) in 2016 and 2017 of Rp. 343.5 billion.
Bolt itself has announced that it will serve the remaining refund credit or unused quota for their customers. Bolt opened 28 outlets prepared from 31 December 2018 to 31 January 2019.
