2019 Electric Cars Start to Be Attracted by Consumers
The launch of the Jaguar I-Pace this year is only the beginning of competition in the luxury electric car market which is certain to be very fierce in 2019.
Next year and then continue in 2020, Jaguar will face competition from premium car manufacturers such as Audi, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Porsche. Tesla, of course, will also heat up rivalry.
So far Tesla has not shown the latest Model Y product, but it is expected to be released in 2019 and followed the following year’s production.
Audi will soon release its electric car models. The Audi E-Tron type of sport utility vehicle (SUV) was introduced last September. The German carmaker has even collected an advance of US $ 1,000 for the SUV, which will only go on sale in the United States in the spring of next year.
E-Tron was introduced in San Francisco because the United States was rated as the biggest market for this electric SUV, which was sold starting at US $ 75,000. Other models are the four-door Audi E-Tron GT, and the Sportback E-Tron.

This year Mercedes also introduced its first electric SUV. Like the Audi E-Tron, the appearance of the Mercedes-Benz EQC is not much different from the conventional combustion-powered SUV, but it is lower and with a more sporty curve. EQC production will begin next year, marketing in 2020.
Porsche plans to produce the first Taycan electric car in late 2019. The Taycan, which will have 600 horsepower, is claimed to reach speeds of 0-100 km / h in just 3.5 seconds.
BMW has exhibited the concept of an electric SUV that will go on sale in 2021. In the exhibition inside the cargo plane’s belly, which stops in various countries, the BMW Vision iNext concept car displays a fairly large crossover SUV type. The buttons and screens in the car are designed to disappear when not needed.
Before the production of Vision iNext, the BMW iX3 crossover will go on sale in 2020. This car is designed flexibly so that it can be made a gasoline-powered version, plug-in hybrid, or fully electric. BMW iX3 will be made in China for the global export market.
Mini, a subsidiary of BMW, will also launch an electric car early. Even though sales will begin next year, information about the Mini electric car is not yet available.
