Mercedes-Benz launches E 350 EQ Boost
Jakarta – Starting in 2019, Mercedes-Benz launched the latest model of the E-Class family, the New E 350 EQ Boost. With the new engine and 48 Volt technology, the E 350 EQ Boost will be the top variant of the E-Class line that is locally assembled.
Product & Pricing Department Manager PT Mercedes-Benz Distribution Indonesia, Radite Erlangga said, as the newest line-up from the E-Class, E 350 EQ Boost has received several feature updates, as well as the latest technology additions namely EQ Boost.
This vehicle uses the latest four-cylinder gasoline engine with a two-liter capacity that can produce output of more than 100 kW per liter with a smart combination of the latest engine technology and partial electrification through 48 V. Technology with output of 220 kW / 299 hp and a maximum torque of 400 Nm, this engine stepped up to the performance that had previously been a high-capacity six-cylinder engine area, but with much more economical fuel consumption. The innovative 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission also supports driving performance and saves fuel.

“EQ Boost technology on this vehicle can help the performance of the combustion engine with additional batteries. The effect can be felt at the start of the vehicle which feels smoother. Acceleration is also lighter. Boost also adds additional output of up to 10 kW and an additional 150Nm of torque,” Radite said. Erlangga, at the launch of the New E 350 EQ Boost, in Jakarta, Friday (25/1).
To increase efficiency, according to him, this technology can also regenerate the battery when the driver is braking, so even when stepping on the gas, so that no energy is wasted.
On the exterior, this vehicle is equipped with Multibeam LED which is the most advanced feature of the E-Class model, as well as the Panoramic Sliding Sunroof. While on the inside already using Nappa Leather to add to the luxury. Nappa Leather was only present in the S-Class model.
New E 350 EQ Boost is now available on the official Mercedes-Benz network. The price is IDR 1,499,000,000 off the road.
