The Latest 9th Generation Intel Core Processor

At the international scale exhibition such as CES 2019 it is certainly a very interesting stage for the electronics industry. One of the highlights of the event was Intel which announced various things such as its 5G strategy and its 10nm Ice Lake CPU. But not only that, the company also introduced six new processors that are members of the Intel Core Gen-9.

The six processors that are the 9th generation include Core i9, Core i7, Core i5, and Core i3, all of which have appeared on the official Intel web page.

For the top position, of course, is occupied by the Intel Core i9-9900KF which has 8 cores and 16 threads with base-clock 3.6GHz and for turbo speeds reaching 5GHz. Underneath there is a Core i7-9700KF which has 8 processor cores and 8 threads, where base is clocked at 3.6 GHz and for turbo speeds reaching 4.9 GHz.

Well, for the Core i5 will consist of three models, namely the Core i5-9600KF, Core i5-9400, and Core i5-9400KF which all have 6 cores. For the Core i5-9600KF has a base clock 3.6 GHz with turbo 4.6 GHz, for the Core i5-9400 has a 2.9 GHz base clock with a 4.1 GHz turbo and is the only processor that has an integrated GPU UHD 630 GPU And for the Core i5-9400KF it has a 2.9 GHz base clock and 4.2 GHz turbo.

For the Core i3 series, there is an Intel Core i3-9350KF with 4 cores and 4 threads, where base clock is at 4.0 GHz and turbo at 4.6 GHz. Finally there is the Core i3-8100F with 4 cores and 4 threads, having a base clock of 3.6 GHz without turbo features.

To add a series of letters “K” on each processor indicates that the processor is specifically designed for overclocking with a multiplier that is not locked. As for the letter “F” indicates that the processor does not have an integrated GPU. This makes the processor cooler and can be priced at a cheaper price.

Prices of all processors have not been revealed by Intel, except for the Core i5-9400KF which is known to be priced at USD 182 or equivalent to IDR 2.5 million. Although Intel hasn’t revealed when this new processor is available on the market, it’s clear they will be available in the first quarter of 2019.
